Perfect Wedding Makeup

In 2017, makeup has become a trend. Although I adore the creativity, and attention social media has brought to this art form, it poses a dilemma when choosing your wedding day makeup look. The first thing I will tell my bridal clientele about picking out that perfect wedding day look is find something that won't date your photos. Meaning, don't do what is trendy. On your wedding day you'll spend thousands of dollars to make everything look perfect. From the floral arrangements, to the photographer. The last thing you'll want is to look at your photos and think "Everything is stunning, but my makeup is so 2017."

Every era has their signature makeup stamp. For example, the 60's was clumpy bold lashes and thick winged eyeliner. The 80's- bright shadows or lips. And whether you realize it or not, this era has several. From the perfectly bold brow, to the glittery cut crease. Your perfect wedding day makeup should be timeless, and accent your face and features. Stick to neutral tones. You want to look naturally enhanced. This means going lighter on the contour and brows. A good makeup artist should know how to accentuate your features, creating a flawless and lasting look without going overboard. I absolutely love this video by makeup artist Lisa Eldridge. She does a fantastic job creating an everlasting and stunning look.
